I am a native of the Dale County School System. I graduated from George W. Long High School. After high school, I attended Wallace Community College and eventually transferred to Troy University Dothan Campus. While at Troy, I graduated Summa Cum Laude with my Bachelor's of Science degree in Elementary Education. In May 2016, I graduated from the University of West Alabama with a Master's in Library Media.
This is my nineteenth year of teaching. All of my teaching experience has been at Newton Elementary School. I began teaching second grade in 2008 and have had experience in fourth and sixth grades with the majority of those years being in fourth grade. This will be my ninth year as the Library Media Specialist, and I couldn't be more excited to share my love of reading with each and every student!
My husband, Ben, also works in the Dale County School System. He is currently the Assistant Principal at DCHS. We have one son, Eli, and a daughter, Hallie Brooke. We have one cat (Spydie Cat), one dog (Luna), and a bearded dragon (Zilla). I LOVE spending time with my family!
